Knox Central High School rests on a beautiful site in the hills of Barbourville, KY. This facility boasts a 2,400-seat gymnasium, science classrooms & labs, a ROTC classroom, an art classroom, band room, childcare center, Vo-Ag shop & classrooms, technology education classrooms, television broadcast studio, school bank, computer classrooms, business classrooms, a stylish cafeteria and kitchen and athletic fields. The design takes advantage of the scenic site with a custom designed patio off the cafeteria overlooking the foliage. KCHS is a compilation of input from faculty, administration and all end-users; it is a functional and aesthetically-pleasing facility – a true fusion of architecture and education.
