Sandersville Elementary School is a 650-student facility designed with education, safety and energy-efficiency in mind. This elementary school contains specialty areas such as an art room with kiln, music room, nature studies classroom, computer lab and a multi-purpose room that can be converted into two additional classrooms. A double-sided stage is shared by the cafeteria and gymnasium, allowing use by both areas.

Sandersville Elementary School was designed to be an energy-efficient building. Both the geothermal HVAC system and lighting occupancy sensors will save the district money in energy bills. This high-tech facility is also designed with Direct Digital Controls (DDC). This feature allows access to room temperatures and building information from any location via the Internet.

Finally, due to the location in the heart of Masterson Station Neighborhood, careful consideration was given to details such as exterior lighting and construction noise that could affect neighboring houses.
